The Working Holiday Programme is an initiative by the Government of Ireland and the Government of the Republic of Korea which allows up to 400 young people annually from the Republic of Korea to take extended holidays in Ireland for up to a year, and to take employment as an incidental aspect of this holiday. The aim of the scheme is to introduce young people from the Republic of Korea to the culture, landscape and people of Ireland and to allow them to work and study English there, while they take extended holidays.
